Education and research involves information generation for evidence-based advocacy and awareness building through the conduct of timely studies, surveys, and monitoring. It involves:
- Research, documentation, drug price monitoring, survey, and data banking
- Awareness-raising activities
- Trainings, seminars, and fora to deepen people's understanding of consumer-related issues
Advocacy and Mobilization
Advocacy and mobilization aim to build public awareness on consumer issues such as access to essential medicine, press for appropriate government policies, and urge prompt action to legitimate consumers’ issues and concerns. CONSUMERS' ACTION FOR EMPOWERMENT seeks to empower consumers with the exercise of their rights. Activities include:
- Mobilization of volunteers and members to support people's activities on assertion of right as consumers
- Production of IEC materials
- Partnership with multi-media groups
Resource Generation
CONSUMERS' ACTION FOR EMPOWERMENT raises the issues of consumer rights to affordable essential medicines among various resource groups and funding partners to support its programs. Resource generation involves:
- Solicitation of financial assistance and material support for the different program areas
Networking
Networking means developing and establishing relationships with organizations, institutions, and individuals in the local and international environment. Through networking, CONSUMERS' ACTION FOR EMPOWERMENT ensures the capability of consumers to band together so they can collectively claim their rights.
